Golden Gate Bridge

Hello all 🙂

I’ve been away from WP for a little while but am compelled to post this image of the Golden Gate Bridge. As I mentioned in my last post of 2015, I’ve committed myself to work on my B&W photography this year.  One of my favorite images is this one from Marshall Beach.  It is a reworked 2014 image that has been printed a few times but never in B&W.  I believe this one hits the mark for its lighting, texture, and tones…all producing a wonderful, if not romantic, mood.  I will definitely be printing this version for my next show.

Christmas 2015

Off in the Distance

I was fortunate to visit my best friend from high school last night.  He and his awesome wife just moved into their new home on Pt. Richmond and I was greeted with not only their gracious hospitality, but also this incredible view from their deck.  I just had to run out to the car and grab my camera and tripod.

The point in the foreground is Tiburon, with the Marin Headlands behind.  That’s a portion of Angel Island on the left with the Golden Gate Bridge just beyond.

City by the Bay

Getting away from my mirrored images for a moment, this image was captured at Pt. Bonita a couple of weeks ago when it was pretty cold and blustery here in San Francisco.  I have to say that when the winds are gusting 25-40mph, it’s tough to hold your camera still.  I was able to get a pretty sharp image at 1/250sec and f/18, but it sure was touch and go.

OK…now I think I’m getting a bit too creative with this mirrored reflection thing.  Actually, I’ve seen other works doing this same process and it kind of makes you stop and stare for a moment, doesn’t it?  Tell me what you think 🙂

Bay Bridge Awakening-2

Well, I couldn’t help but to play some more with applying a mirrored image to a previous image.  On this panorama of the San Francisco Bay Bridge at sunrise, I added a soft blur to the water to make it appear a bit more like, well, water, lol.  What do you think?

Morning Reflection

Taking a queue from good buddy, Laura Macky, I played with an image I haven’t posted yet.  Adding a cool reflection in PS is quite rewarding, I’d have to say.  I’ll just have to keep playing at it.  Have a great week all 🙂
